Yanina is from Berlin, early 20s, lives in Kreuzberg, across from her dad. He came to Berlin from Peru in the 90s. She knows his life there from his stories: his grandmother, who liked to think of himself as European, his father's family, where Quechua was still spoken, studying civil engineering, the Peruvian resistance to the USA, the civil war, his fellow students who died. Yanina and her dad's life together is music - they used to do street music together, but today they're still rockers at heart.
